How many people who believed Bill Clinton should have been impeached for lying about sex believe it was proper for President Bush to pardon Scooter Libby? Sunday, March 14, 2004

The bad news. Israel won the war in 1973 and began the occupation of Arab land. The Bush administration won the war in 2003 and began the occupation of Arab land. In thirty years will the United States be as far along in the peace process as Israel? Thursday, August 14, 2003
When the Republicans gained power in the Congress in 1994, President Clinton chose compromise instead of partisan fighting, and the United States prospered. There is no power to force Bush to compromise, so he follows a hard line uncompromising conservative policy, and the United States is mired in a war and a jobless recovery. Wednesday, August 13, 2003
The Liberals in California may complain that Governor Davis is being recalled because a conservative Republican, Darrell Issa, spent over a million dollars to buy petition signatures, but they should acknowledge that most voters probably signed because Davis was in charge while the state budget went $38.2 Billion into the red. In two months, all the citizens of California will have a chance to be heard, but the more important vote comes next November. As of July 31, the Public Debt of the United States of America has increased by $522,959,141,465.91 for the the 2003 fiscal year. That is over 500 BILLION dollars. The fiscal year goes until the end of September, so this amount could end up being over 600 BILLION for the year. If George W. Bush misses the $600 billion mark, and only makes it to $579 billion, George W. Bush will have increased the debt by a TRILLION dollars in the two years he has been responsible for the budget. During the last year for which Clinton was responsible for the budget, the debt increased 18 billion dollars, the lowest amount since 1969. If you believe our children and grandchildren should pay for our excess, then vote next November to elect George W. Bush president, but if you feel it is our responsibility to pay our own way, vote for someone else. If you doubt the facts of this letter, please go to the official US Treasury website for the national debt, Public Debt "A society grows great when old men and old women plant trees under whose shade they know they'll never sit." Having a knee jerk reaction of opposition to everything George W. Bush does or says can lead to being wrong, but somethings cannot be helped. Can anyone who is not rich name one thing that is better about their life since Dubya took office? |
